The Lord called Amar to work among the students in Kudat since 1995.In 1999, he started Agape Christian Fellowship. Through the CF they conducted two meetings every week, Saturday and Sunday for discipleship classes. More than 100 students attend both meetings.

In January 2004, the Lord led Him to start a home for underprivileged students. This home is called Immanuel House. Today they are 4 Immanuel homes with 73 students. There are 2 homes for boys and 2 other homes for girls.

The main purpose for the homes is to provide a conducive, clean, safe environment to study with continuous motivation and enough basic facilities such as libraries and computers to help them excel in their academics and eventually come out from the circle of poverty. By doing so, they will be able to impact and transform their families and community in return.

They also ground them in word of God and teach them to have a strong prayer life.

Today, there are 33 students from Immanuel homes doing various certificate, diploma and degree program in various colleges and universities.

In 2008, another 2 Immanuel homes were opened in Shah Alam and one more will be open in Kota Kinabalu soon.

Amar said, “If God asks us to FLY, He surely provide us with WINGS”
